PENINGKATAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN MELALUI LESSON STUDY BERBASIS METAKOGNISI
Abstract: Teacher is the most
important factor in teaching learning process and is the human factor that much
influences the success of it. Improving
teaching learning quality depends on the professionalism, strategy and approach
used by the teacher. The objective of
this paper is to describe the quality of
strategy in improving learning by using lesson study and metacognition.
Lesson study is designed to empower teachers professionalism by evaluating
teaching process collaboratively and simultaneously based on legality principal
and mutual learning to empower learning community. Meanwhile, metacognition is
the leaning how to learn so that the collaboration strategy can be carried out
by using three activities. The first is planning which includes deciding
objective and analyzing assignment to get target knowledge. The second is
implementing teaching learning process to increase students self understanding so
that it can motivate them to understand the lesson and correlate the knowledge they
have. The third is evaluating which refers to the effort to improve student s cognitive
activity. It can help the students to improve their achievement by evaluating their
attitude in finishing their assignment.
