DEGRADASI SENYAWA PROFENOFOS DALAM INSEKTISIDA CURACRON 500EC SECARA FOTOLISIS DENGAN PENAMBAHAN TiO2-ZEOLIT
Abstract: Profenofos is an
active compounds in Curacron 500EC which is toxic. Profenofos degradation had
been performed by photolysis method using a 10 watt UV lamp (λ = 365 nm) and TiO2-zeolite
catalyst. TiO2-anatase and zeolites were also used as the control for
TiO2-zeolite. Photolysis products were measured by UV-Vis spectrophotometer at
wavelengths 200-400 nm. For all of the control conditions, the degradation of
150 mg/L profenofos were 7.5 % (without the catalyst in 135 minutes
illumination time), 19 % (40 mg TiO2-zeolite, without illumination in the same
period of time), 16 % (1.5 mg TiO2-anatase, 135 minutes illmunitaion time) and
14 % (38.5 mg zeolite, 135 minutes illmunitaion time). When both catalyst (40
mg TiO2-zeolite) were combined to be illuminated with the same light source (UV
lamp at 365 nm) in the same period of time, surprisingly the degradation grade
can be improved until 55 %.
