OPTIMASI PROSES KALSINASI PADA SINTESIS KOMPOSIT TiO2/KITOSAN
Abstract: A synthesis of
composite TiO2/Kitosan by the sol gel method has been carried out at different
temperatures (250oC and 300oC) for 2-5 hours. The
resulting TiO2/kitosan composite obtained characterized by Fourier Transform
Infrared (FTIR), Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), X-ray Diffraction (XRD),
Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive Xrays (SEM-EDX). FTIR results
showed changes in the intensity of the wave numbers between 4000 to 400 cm-1. TGA analysis confirmed that weight loss was
reduced by the addition of chitosan at temperature 300 oC for 5 hours. XRD
pattern showed that with the increase of calcination temperature lead the more
stability the composite yielded. SEM photoghraph showed that the particle made
of chitosan doped TiO2 was a rod shape. EDX analysis indicated that
the composition of composite were vary as the temperature and duration of
calcination was changed.
