PENGGUNAAN ELEKTRODA KARBON DALAM SEL FOTOVOLTAIK SEMI KONDUKTOR CuO DENGAN ELEKTROLIT Na2SO4
Abstract: In this experiment
we have studied the use of carbon and CuO semiconductor as electrodes in
photovoltaic cells using shaped tube with sodium sulfate (Na2SO4)
as electrolyte . The objectives of this work are to obtain the optimal
condition in producing current and voltage to be used as promising candidate
for energy alternative source. The experiment was conducted to measure
resulting current and voltage at 09.00 - 15.00 am sunlight illumination. The
optimum concentration was reached when of 0.5 N Na2SO4 at
12.00 pm showing a single circuit with 8185 × 10-4 Watt/cm2
of the power where averagely was 6675 × 10-4 Watt/cm2.
Based on observation, the current was
influenced by light intensity, voltage and inversely which was
proportional to the temperature. More hydrogen gas bubbles generated at the
optimal condition (0.5 N Na2SO4) as for another
concentration (1 N) the gas produced was lowered to certain amount which was
difficult to analyze.
