GAMBARAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DAN PRAKTIK ORANG TUA SISWI KELAS 4 DAN 5 SEKOLAH DASAR ISLAM ALAZHAR 14 SEMARANG DALAM MEMBERIKAN EDUKASI TENTANG MENSTRUASI

Abstract:  Nowdays,  the  menarche  age  is  getting  younger  and  younger. Confused,  nervous,  scared,  disturbed  and  uncomfortable  feeling  are  always happen to every woman  on  the  first  menstruation.  Parent, especially for  mother, become the most important one at this situation. Aim  (s):  To  know  the  description  of  knowledge  level  and  attitude  of  parents  of forth and fifth grade students in Alashar Islamic Elementary School Semarang in giving education about menstruation.

Method: This research was decriptive with cross sectional approach. The method of sample taking used total sampling which were 23 respondents in total. Result:  Most  parents  were  between  40  to  42  years  old,  100%  parent’s background  education  were  high,  most  respondent’s  job  were  private  job  as 60,9%.  91,3%  respondent’s  knowledge  was  good.  95,7%  education  giving practice was good.

Conclusion: Description of respondent’s practice and knowledge in menstruation education were good.
