STUDI DESKRIPTIF PENDAMPINGAN DAN DUKUNGAN SUAMI TERHADAP PENGURANGAN RASA NYERI PADA IBU BERSALIN KALA I DI RS PANTI WILASA CITARUM SEMARANG

Abstract: While entering the time of delivery, a mother usually overwhelmed by  feelings  of  fear,  worry,  or  anxiety,  especially  in  primiparous  mothers.  Those feelings  can  increase  the pain,  the  muscles  become  tense,  and  mother  become tired  quickly,  which  in  turn  inhibits  the  delivery  process.  Supportive  care  during labor  means  to  be  active  and  participate  in  ongoing  activities.  Support  in  labor may be provided by midwives and the people arround the mother. The presence of  continuous  mentoring  has  several  benefits:  1)  Reduce  forceps,  vacuum,  or sectio Caesaria during labor, 2) Reduce Apgar score <7, 3) The duration of labor is becoming increasingly shorter, 4) Greater maternal satisfaction in experience of childbirth
Aim  (s):  This  study  aimed  to  find  a  desciptive  of  husbands’s  in  support  in reducing maternal pain, as well as maternal responses to the reduction of pain. 
Method: This study used a cross sectional approach. The sampling method used in this study was accidental sampling. Accidental sampling was done by husband who where at the place by accident. 
Result:  The  study  found  that  most  respondents  in  the  category  of  middle adulthood  was  90%.  Number  of  respondents  were  55%  primiparous  and  55% multipara. Respondents studying Senior High School were 55% and 45% college educated.  Respondents  who  worked  55%.  Husbands  who  accompanied  and supported  againts  pain  of  labor  reducing  were  100%  of  respondents  with  an average  of  9-12  treatments  provided.  Respondents  felt  comfortable  with  the threatment  of  their  husbands.  Respondent  said  that  there  was  a  reducing  pain, many support, and got more energy. All respondents agreed that there was a pain of  labor  reducing  with  the  supports  of  their  husbands.  The  support  which  most helpful to reducing pain was massaging the back as much as 55%.
Conclusion: The  study  found  that  100%  or  20  respondents  gave  a  husbands’s support towards the reduction of pain and 100% or 20 respondents said that the reduction of pain and the respondents felt comfortable with pain of labor reducing the support and threatment of husbands.
