ASURANSI KESEHATAN SOSIAL SEBAGAI UPAYA NEGARA DALAM MEWUJUDKAN MASYARAKAT SEJAHTERA
Abstract: Health insurance is
one of the ways to deal with the illness risks. Inthe health insurance,
thereare two well-known kinds ofinsurance, medical loss insurance andlife
insurance. Based on itsfounding, thehealth insurance can be divided into
optional/commercial health insurance and mandatory/social health insur ance. Thecommercial
healthinsurance is managedbyprivate institutions based on a certain agreement, and
itis aimedatgenerating profits. Meanwhile, thesocialhealthinsurance is
managedbythe government according to the persisting legislations, and it is not
aimed at generating profit but fulfilling the human's basic needs. The social
health insurance is managed by the government in an attempt to protect the
health of the community so as to realize the government's objectives and to
fulfill its obligation to create prosperous citizens or at least to improve the
basic health services, which are still felt less maximal.
