PENELITIAN HUKUM PADA PENDIDIKAN TINGGI HUKUM
Abstract: The nature
of research about
law in Indonesia
is determined by the
system of legal education
applied. The system of legal education in
Indonesia is characterized by two features i.e. legal practice oriented and comprehension of
positive law. These
features become a
burden for law students.
These features also affect
the nature of research about law
in F acuity of Law.
Research about law in
Faculty of Law is
undertaken from two perspectives.
The first perspective is
legal research based
on the logical characteristics of the science of law or jurisprudence. The object
of this research
is norms and
principles of applicable law.
The characteristics of this
research are prescriptive and practical. The
second one is sociological research (research
about law from
social science perspective). This
research analyses community 's responses to
the law. These
two perspectives often
lead to confusion in F acuity
of Law. The author
of this article argues that
there is a need
to renew the understanding
of research about law from both perspectives proportionally.
