KOMODIFIKASI MEDIA JURNALISME WARGA OLEH INSTITUSI MEDIA
Abstract: Kompasiana is a kind
of media citizen journalism established by media industry corporation which in
this case Kompas Gramedia group since 2008 year to Desember 2011, the users
recorded are about ninety thousand users who register and has account in Kompasiana.
Total users in August 2012 increase into 127.068 users. According to
characteristics of media citizen journalism, this media relies the content
production on users and not on media industry. That is why, besides as the
users in the meaning of consuming the content of Kompasiana, the users are also
functioned as workers in order to produce the content (user generated content). Therefore, this
research is conducted to criticize the position of audience in the contestation
with media industry in media citizen journalism by taking instruments in
Kompasiana with main problems how are the practices of functioning media
citizen journalism practiced by media industry?In answering the questions of
research and how the data collected are analyzed, therefore the researcher uses
the instruments of Kompasiana and makes four levels of analysis named
Communication Analysis Mediated by Computer, which means media space, media
archive, media object and experiential stories.
