Ciri Morfologi Jenis Kelamin dan Kedewasaan Lobster Mutiara (Panulirus ornatus)
Abstract: The aims of this
research are to know the characteristics of female and male, and matured
ornated lobster based on primary and secondary morphology. Observation of
external and internal morphology relating to reproductive lobster was done at
different size classes those are transparent puerulus, morphology looks like
broodstock 1,5-2,0 g; pigmented puerulus 2-4 g; juvenil 50-250 gr; and adult
measure 594 - 3420 gr, adult and berried female. The samples were taken
directly from nature to be observed and partly were reared to know the
maturity. Sex characteristics at female are ovary is in the form of like letter
'H', gonadophore at the basal of third walking leg, the back part of the fifth
walking involved three branches and swimmning leg consisted of two sheets. At
male is gonadophore laying at the fifth basal walking leg, the back part of the
fifth walking leg has no branch and swimming leg only as a sheet. External
morphology on adulthood lobster female marked by the forming of plumose seta
growing around 37 months, body weight 559 g and carapace length 20,3 cm.
Plumose setae grows at fourth of swimming leg, like pinfeather at inner
periphery side and in permanent character. Adulthood male marked by getting
bigger of gonadophore of the fifth walking leg.
