KERAGAAN HASIL DAN TOLERANSI GENOTIPE KACANG HIJAU TERHADAP PENAUNGAN
ABSTRACT: Competition for
light radiation is one of the factors causing highly yield reduction in the
intercropped mungbean. Using tolerant
genotype is an alternative to get small yield lose. The aim of the
experiment was to study the yield performance and tolerance of five genotypes
of mungbean to shading. The experiment was conducted at Station research of
ILETRI (Indonesian Legume and Tuber Crops Research Institute) of Malang, from
February to May 2004. Five genotypes of mungbean (VC2768B, Kenari, Local Wongsorejo,
Nuri and MLG 431) were tested in four shading levels (0, 25, 50 and 75%). The
treatment was arranged according to Randomized completely block design with
three replications. Data was analyzed by combining analysis across shading
levels. The tolerance was judged based on tolerance index to stress. Result of
the experiment showed that yield performance of mungbean of 75% shading level
was 34.01% and 65.21% lower than those of 50% and 25% shading levels. Mean productivity (MP), geometric mean productivity
(GMP) and stress tolerance index (STI) were good indicators to identify mungbean
genotypes with high yield and tolerance to shading. VC2768B, Kenari and Local
Wongsorejo were genotypes tolerance to level of shading up to 75%.
