ANALISIS SIFAT FISIK DAN KIMIA BIODIESEL DARI MINYAK JELANTAH SEBAGAI BAHAN BAKAR ALTERNATIF MOTOR DIESEL

ABSTRACT: Change of global environmental issue and climate effect of development and usage of energy become consideration in election of alternative energy. Biodiesel represent one the alternative energy able to innovate and friendly to environment. Biodiesel can be processed from vegetation oils and secondhand cooking oil ‘jelantah’ representing by-product of cooking oil. Examination conducted in two step that is condition of reaction of processing of biodiesel of ex-cooking oil and continued with examination of nature of physics and chemistry of yielded biodiesel from condition of reaction of good. Of examination obtained by condition of which good to processing of biodiesel at comparison of volume ( 1:1), temperature react 700 C and amount of catalyst required 20 mg / 1 alcohol liter. Examination is nature of chemistry and physical of biodesel especially its value of him obtained by 6,532 cSt, where coming near value of viscosities diesel fuel 5,16 cSt. By paying attention one of the nature is important the than fuel that is value of viscosities, processed biodiesel of conducive secondhand cooking oil become alternative fuel substitution of diesel fuel.
