Pengaruh Tipe Pahat Dan Arah Pemakanan Permukaan Berkontur Pada Pemesinan Milling Awal Dan Akhir Terhadap Kekasaran Permukaan

Abstract: The product of process machining by milling to mill contour or pocket is usually started with process of roughing by 3-axis milling base on desired contour, in this process we selected depth of cut (DOC) and height of scallop and than did process finishing by 5-axis milling to eliminate scallop from process roughing, in this process we selected scallop without DOC. The feed directions in finishing are in-line and across direction and tools used were flat, toroidal and ball nose end mill. Each type of tools and feed direcrion in process roughing and finishing will influent difference surface roughness. This research is to analyze influence of type of tools and feed direction machining roughing and finishing to the surface roughness resulted by milling machining. Examinee factor is two types of tooling roughing ( end mill flat and toroidal), two type of tools finishing (toroidal and ball nose), two types of feed direction ( in-line and scross) and we measured roughness as respond datas. The attempt full factorial is =8 variation. Result analysis of variance (ANOVA) indicate that the type of roughing tools, type of finishing tools and feed direction statistically have an effect on surface roughness.
