SIMULASI NUMERIK ALIRAN UDARA VENTILASI DUA DIMENSIONAL DENGAN METODE BEDA HINGGA

Abstract: In  CFD  (Computational  Fluid  Dynamics)  Simulation,  the designer  has the capability to design and redesign a room over and over again, until the best and better design is found at a relatively low price and less time compared to a scale experimentation. The main goal of this research is to simulate two dimensional ventilation’s air  flow  in  various  ventilation  systems.  The  algorithm  consists  of  seven stages  :  set  the  initial  and  boundary  conditions,  calculate  the  temporary velocity  u  with  ADI  (Alternating  Direct  Implicit)  method,  calculate  the temporary  velocity  v  with  ADI  (Alternating  Direct  Implicit)  method, calculate  the  pressure  value  with  Line  Gauss  Seidel  method,   the  final  or real velocity value is obtained from correcting temporary velocity values u and v with pressure value derivation, write and save data. From  this  research,  the  following  observations  were  concluded  :  The computer  code  program  which  the  writer  built  could  generated  two dimensional  ventilation’s  air  flow  simulation,  ADI  (Alternating  Direction Implicit)  method  with  non-staggered  grid  can  generate  visually  same simulation  compared  with  SIMPLER  method,  and  increasing  the Reynolds number proves to increase the air circulation within a room space.
