ANALISIS DAN DESAIN JARINGAN WARNET DENGAN MODEM ADSL (Studi Kasus : Warnet Gantar)
ABSTRACT: The development of
computer technology is increasing rapidly, as seen in the 80s era computer
networks is still a puzzle to be answered by academic circles, and in 1988 began
to use computer networks at universities, companies, now entering the era of
this millennium, especially the world wide internet has become an everyday
reality of millions of people on this earth. In addition, hardware and network
software has really changed, at the
beginning of its
development almost the
entire network constructed
from coaxial cable, now many of
them have been constructed of the optical fiber (optical fiber) or even without
both cable communications (wireless).
With the development
of computer technology
and communication of
a single computer model that
serves all computing tasks an organization has now been replaced by a set of
computers that would separate but interrelated in performing their duties, such
systems are called
computer network. Internet cafés
or better known
as cafenet, recognized as
having its own
color in the
development of information
technology and communications in
Indonesia. With nearly
more than two
thousand average cafe
was founded in the
midst of economic
crisis in recent
years, its influence
in the world
of telecommunications business and the business world that Indonesia has
been significant.
Internet cafe is
much more important
role in the
efforts of Internet
penetration Indonesia
because 60% -70% of
users accessing the
internet cafe. Therefore,
the presence of computer
networks in the
internet cafe is
very useful for
dealing with these challenges because
the function of
this network is
to integrate data
that can be
quickly processed and then
distributed computer network
using the locally
(local area networking).
There are several
internet network between
the local network
cafe with bandwidth providers,
including using an ADSL modem (Asymetric Digital Subscriber Line) that is
wired network connected
to the server
your ISP (internet
service provider), andwhich are wireless using the router and
antenna grid that will directly leading to the BTS (Based Territorial
Service) ISP's server. In
recent years many
stall telecommunications (telephone)
that transforms services into Internet cafe, then to meet that need, Telkom asa
telecommunications service provider providing
services to the initiative by adding data access using
ADSL modems that
have been able
to connect with
the old network (telephone network).
