PERBEDAAN KEJADIAN MUAL MUNTAH PASCA OPERASI DENGAN PENGGUNAAN ISOFLURAN DAN HALOTAN SEBAGAI ANESTESI INHALASI
Abstract: Isoflurane and
halothane are two
inhalation anesthetic agents
are still quite widely
used but anesthesia
inhalation using both
drugs have some side
effects, one of
which is post-operative nausea
and vomiting is the most undesirable effect the incision pain.
Problem: are there differencesbetween the incidence of
postoperative nausea and
vomiting use of
isoflurane and halothane as
inhalation anesthetics
Objective: knowing the
differences between the
incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting use of
isoflurane and halothane as inhalation anesthetics. Methods of
research: this research
is an observational
analytic study using cross-sectional approach included 56
samples of ASA I and II that uses anetesi inhalation. 28 respondents were used
as inhalation anesthetics isoflurane and
28 respondents who
used the anesthetic
halothane inhalation. Assessed
at 2 hours to 12 hours
postoperatively. The analysis is used univariate and bivariate analysis using
the Mann Whitney test with a confidende level of 95% (α =0.05). research location
at Wates Hospital
Distric Kulon Progo
on August 27th–October 20th, 2012.
Results: It was found post-operative nausea and vomiting incidence was
highest in the inhaled anesthetics halothane by 16,1%, while the inhalation
anesthetic isoflurane 8,9%. From a statistical test with a computer program
mann whitney Asymp.Sig(2-tailed) obtained output value: 0.168. P value: 0.168
means there is no difference in the incidence of postoperative nausea and
vomiting with the use of isoflurane and halothane as inhalation anesthetics
Conclusion: there is no difference in the incidence of postoperative
nausea and vomiting use isoflurane and halothane as inhalation anesthetics.
