Kecerdasan Seksual Generasi Muda Indonesia
ABSTRACT: In this
instant-information era, the year-2000-and-up students to a certain extent
reflects the young Indonesian generation at large. Thus their
bio-psycho-socio-spiritual life are assumed to reflect the life of the young Indonesian generation as well, especialy
concerning sexual problems. This preliminary study reveals the sexual
intelligence of the student subjects
(N=510: 470 females, 40 males),
including whether it could be enhanced through an interactive dialog in
a workshop. Data were collected through a pre- and post-test using a
questionnaire (Conrad & Milburn, 2003). The data were analysed with the
anacova and t-test. Results reveal that the sexual intelligence of the subjects are below the expectations as it
should be as candidate intellectuals. A significant result was achieved
concerning the interactive dialogue, which could enhanced their sexual
intelligence, at least cognitively. The dangers of neglecting sexual educa-tion are discussed.
