PENGARUH JENIS MEDIA DAN PUPUK KASCING TERHADAP DERAJAT INFEKSI AKAR, JUMLAH SPORA MIKORIZA DAN SERAPAN P PADA KACANG KUDZU (PUERARIA JAVANICA)

ABSTRAK: The aim of the experiment was to find out the interaction effect of the types of medium and casting on root infection, amount of mycorrhizae spores and P uptake on tropical kudzu (Pueraria javanica), at green house, Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University, in Jatinangor with altitude of 700 m above sea level.
The experiment design was Randomized Block Design with factorial pattern, consisted of two factors and replicated three times. The first factor was the types of medium (M) consisted of three types (m1 = zeolite, m2 = 100 g Inceptisols + 50 g sand (2:1), m3 = 112,5 g Inceptisols + 37,5 g sand (3:1). The second factors was casting (K) consisted of three levels (k0 = without casting, k1 = 1.5 g casting/150 g medium, k2 = 3 g casting/150 g medium).
The result of the experiment showed that the interaction between the types of medium and casting give not significant effect on root infection, amount of mycorrhizae spores and P uptake. Application of m2 and m3 gave the value of root infection and amount of mycorrhizae spores which higher than application m1.  Application of m3 gave the value of P uptake which higher than application m1, whereas the highest value of P uptake obtained from application  k2 .
