Sintesis Beberapa Senyawa Analog Calkon menggunakan Katalis SOCl2 dan Uji Aktivitas sebagai Antimikroba
Abstract: Some chalcone
analogous have been synthesized from 3’-hydroxyacetophenoneand benzaldehyde
derivates by Claisen-Schmidt condensation using thyonyl chlo-ride (SOCl2)
catalyst. It produced three compounds i.e.
1-(3-hydroxy-phenyl)-3-(4-hydroxy-phenyl)-prophenone;
1-(3-hydroxy-phenyl)-3-(4-chloro-phenyl) prophe-none and 1-(3-
hydroxy-phenyl)-3-(4-nitro- phenyl)-prophenone. The structure ofthe compounds
were then characterized using UV, IR and NMR. All of the synthe-sized compounds
show antimicrobial activities toward Psedomonas aeruginosa,Bacillus subtilis
and Candida albicans.
