Pemanfaatan Metode Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Dalam Perancangan Kompor Biomassa

Abstract: Biomass cook stoves using biomass (usually wood) as fuel in the combustion pro-cess. The heat generated from the combustion process can be used for culinarypurposes. Stove is still widely used in society, but still made traditionally with asimple design that has low thermal efficiency resulting in high emissions of haz-ardous substances and require more fuel (wood). Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) method can be use to predict fluid flow patterns that occur in the stove andcombustion chamber. CFD method can be used to get better geometry design of thecombustion chamber, so the efficiency of the combustion reaction and heat transfercan be higher.
