PENERAPAN STRATEGI METAKOGNITIF UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS XI IPA 1 SMA NEGERI 3 PADANG

Abstract: Reasoning is really important in mathematical learning because reasoning will influence the pupil in material comprehension and learning process outcome. Unfortunately the pupil of class XI IPA 1 in Senior High School Number 3 in Padang rarely solve the problem about proving problem that usually using reasoning in solving that problem. It will give impact to the learning process outcome and student reasoning. This is happen because the learning strategy that using by teacher doesn’t make the way of pupil thinking optimal and the activity of pupil in learning process still passive. Therefore solution to that problem is using the metacognition strategy that will optimize the way of pupil thinking especially on reasoning activity. This research show that the pupil reasoning increase after using strategy Metacognition in learning process.
