PENERAPAN STRATEGI REACT DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS X SMAN 1 BATANG ANAI
Abstract: The mathematical
concept understanding is a basic knowledge to achieve the higher mathematical
abilities. In fact, mathematical concept understanding of students in class X
of Senior High School 1 Batang Anai in academic year 2013/2014 was still low
because of the strategy which was used by teacher was not enough to develop
their thinking proccess. One of attempt to solve this problem is by applying
Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and Transferring (REACT)
strategy. The purpose of this research is to find out whether mathematical
concept understanding of students who learn by using REACT strategy is better
than students who learn by using conventional learning. This research type is
quasi experiment with Static Group Design. The result of this research
indicates that mathematical concept understanding of students who learn by
using REACT strategy is better than students who learn by using conventional
learning.
