PENERAPAN STRATEGI THINKING ALOUD PAIR PROBLEM SOLVING (TAPPS) DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA KELAS VIII SMPN 11 PADANG

Abstract: The mathematical communication ability is one of the ability that should be had by everyone in mathematics learning. The mathematical communication ability of the students grade VIII in SMPN 11 Padang still not optimal.  One of the best way to increased it ability is applying Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving ( TAPPS ) strategy. The purpose of this research is to compare the mathematical communication ability of the students with Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving(TAPPS ) strategy and Conventional Learning. The type of this research is the quasi-experimental research with the Randomized Control Group Only Design. Based on analysis of the test, the mathematical communication ability of the students  with TAPPS strategy better than the mathematical communication ability of the students who studied with Conventional Learning.
