PENGARUH METODE THINK ALOUD PAIR PROBLEM SOLVING (TAPPS) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIKA SISWA SMA
Abstract: Mathematical
communication skill of the student at grade eleven of science of SMAN 10 Padang
have not developed optimally. During do the observation seen that the students
are not facilitated in exploring its mathematical communication skills. The
learning process still focus on cultivation for concept of mathematics to the
student. One of the solution is using Think Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS)
method. This research is quasi experiment with Randomized Control Group Only
Design. The population is grade eleven of SMAN 10 Padang in academic year
2013/2014. The sample classes taken by random sampling. Experiment class was
treated by implement of TAPPS method and control class was treated to implement
by conventional learning. The Data taken by giving the mathematical
communication skill test at the end of study. Then the data were analyzed by
using t-test and support by minitab software. Based on data analysis obtained
P-value = 0,000. For α = 0,05 then P-value < α, it’s mean that the
hypothesis is accepted, so it can be concluded that student’s mathematical
communication skills with the implementation of TAPPS method is better than
student’s mathematical communication skill with the implementation of
conventional learning.
