PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION (STAD) TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMPN 3 PADANG
Abstract: Based on the
observation that has been done in SMPN 3 Padang, it was found that student’s
understanding of mathematical consepts was low.
One of the learning models that can be used by teacher to increase
conceptual understanding of the students is cooperative learning model type
Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD).
This research employed quasi experiment method by using static group
design and descriptive method. Two classes were chosen randomly as the sample
of this research. Data of the research were collected trough test, observation,
and analyzing student's works. Collected data were analyzed using t-test and
descriptive method. The results of the research show that the conceptual
understanding of the students who have been tought using cooperative learning
model type STAD is significantly higher than those who have been taught conventionally. In addition, cooperative learning model type
STAD could improve the students' conceptual understanding.
