PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TWO STAY TWO STRAY TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA
Abstract: The ability of
understanding mathematical concepts SMP 13 eighth grade students in Padang is
still relatively low . This is due to the learning process that is centered on
the teacher . One model of learning that can be used to improve the
understanding of the concept are Two Stay Two Stray ( TSTS ). This study aims
to determine the development of understanding of mathematical concepts Junior
High School eighth grade students in the Academic Year 13 Padang 2013/2014 for
cooperative learning model applied TSTS . This type of research is experimental
research using samples of two classes , namely the experimental class and the
control class. Experimental class is the class treated TSTS cooperative
learning model class while the untreated control. The study design used was
Randomized Only Control Group Design. The instrument of this study are : ( 1 )
Quiz to see the development of students' understanding of mathematical
concepts. ( 2 ) The final test is test students' understanding of mathematical
concepts. Based on research data, the average value of students learning using
cooperative learning model TSTS better than the average score of students who
are not learning to use cooperative learning model TSTS. Thus, it can be
concluded that there are significant TSTS cooperative learning model to
understanding mathematical concepts students.
