PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA DI KELAS VIII SMPN 2 BUKITTINGGI TAHUN PELAJARAN 2013/2014

Abstract: In the learning process, the students was inactive and less spirit, so that their learning result was not suitable with that expected. This was caused by the method that was used by teacher was not effective. In learning process, the teacher presented the subject then it was continued by finishing the questions. The learning process made students was inactive because there was no chance for students to ask their teacher and classmate about misunderstanding subject. The cooperative learning model was the cluster learning that involved student’s participation in a little team. In this clustering, the students were grouped heterogenic. One of type the cooperative learning was teams games tournament. The research had been done to class VIII SMPN 2 Bukittinggi. In this quasi experiment research and by using Static Group Design technique, VIII.2 was choosen as experiment class and VIII.3 was choosen as control class. The instrument was used as learning result. The tabulation of data that was used, it showed that the used of cooperative learning is teams games tournament has improved the result of students learning that control class. The students result in learning at experiment class that used TGT model was better than conventional method in control class.
