PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN HAND OUT DISERTAI MIND MAPPING TERHADAP MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA DI KELAS VIII SMPN 2 BATANG ANAI
Abstract: Reality on the
ground shows that the mathematics student learning outcomes is low. This
happens due to lack of student motivation and use of instructional materials in
teaching mathematics was not optimal. One effort to overcome this is to use a
hand out with mind mapping in learning. This research was conducted in class
VIII SMPN 2 Batang Anai Academic Year 2013/2014. The research problem is
whether the increased student motivation after following study using a hand out
with mind mapping, and whether the learning outcomes of students in learning
mathematics using a hand out with mind mapping better than on student learning
outcomes with conventional learning in class VIII SMP 2 Batang Anai academic
year 2013/2014? With simple random sampling technique was chosen class VIII.3
as the experimental class and class VIII.1 as the control class. The instrument
used in the form of motivation questionnaire and achievement test. The results
of data processing motivation questionnaire showed that the student’s motivation
after used a hand out with mind mapping in learning has increased. And the data
processing study results indicate that the learning outcomes of students in
learning using a hand out with mind mapping better than on student learning
outcomes with conventional learning.
