Pengolahan Air Lindi TPA Muara Fajar dengan Ultrafiltrasi
Abstract: Membrane technology
is an effective technology to purify wastewater. Theobjective of the research
is to determine the performance of the ultrafiltration forremoval of BOD 5 ,
COD and TSS from leachate effluent. This research has beenconducted on water purification
Muara Fajar landfill leachate Tassel-Pekanbaruwith ultrafiltration process
using aluminum sulfate as a coagulant. Leachate waterpurified by
ultrafiltration membranes with a variation of operating pressure (1; 1,5;2
bar). The result show that ultrafiltration process removed 71,43% of BOD 5
,70,59% of COD, and 45,45% of TSS at 2 bar. The flux increased with
theincreasing of pressure operation.
