ANALISIS DESKRIPTIF POLA KONVERSI HUTAN KEMIRI RAKYAT (HKR) DI KABUPATEN MAROS
Abstract: The purpose of this
research is to investigate the conversion pattern of community candlenut forest
(hutan kemiri rakyat-HKR) in Maros Regency. It was found that there were three
categories of conversion in HKR area: temporary farming, permanent farming, and
cocoa farming. Each of the conversion category had its own characteristics.
However, the income obtained from the conversion activities was always higher
compared to the income obtained from the HKR in all categories. The income
sharing from HKR were as followed: temporary farming (22.43%), permanent farming
(13%), and cocoa farming (27.29%). It seems that the income differential
between conversion income and HKR income of the farmer became a driving factor
that affect the level of conversion.
