ABSTRACT: The purpose
of this study
was to analyze
the financial feasibility
of capture fisheries
business, based on the
discounted investment criteria,
towards various of
fishing gear and
fish collecting business which
are operated by fishing community in Manggar Baru Village New, Balikpapan. The results showed that
fishing activities using
boat operated lift
net (rambo), gillnets,
danish seines (dogol), drift
longlines, permanent lift
nets, scoop nets
(hambaring), mini purseines
and fish collecting business were
feasible to continue.
