ANALISIS KETERKAITAN PUSAT INDUSTRI PENGOLAHAN KAYU DAN WILAYAH PEMBANGUNAN HUTAN TANAMAN RAKYAT (TR) DI SULAWASI SELATAN
Abstract: This research was
proposed to analyze the linkage between the center of wood processing industry
and the development of the community plantation forest (Hutan Tanaman Rakyat -
HTR). The data collection were carried out by survey and documentation method.
The data were used to describe the regional analysis. The result shows that
there were six centers of wood processing industries: Makassar, Pare-Pare,
Palopo, Tana Toraja, Watampone, and Bulukumba. The centers of the wood
processing in Makassar and Palopo served the demand both for exporting
activities to the outside provinces (export and domestic consumption) and
inside the province. In addition, the centera of wood processing also became
the centers for serving the demand of the wood inputs as intermediate demand.
In order to create the agglomeration of HTR, the centers of wood processing
should become the centers for the development of the HTR.
