EMBRIOGENESIS DAN DAYA TETAS TELUR IKAN PELANGI (Melanotaenia parva) PADA SALINITAS YANG BERBEDA
Abstrak: Ornamental fish
industry in In-donesia need to growth to full fill aquaculture country
production. One of their con-straits is mostly ornamental fishes rely on captured
from wild. Ornamental fishes in-cluded freshwater fishes are native fish inhibit rivers
and lakes. Rainbow fish (Melano-taenia parva) is one of the freshwater fish that
has wonderful in coloration, body sha-pe and size. Rainbow fish captivity able
to conducted eventhough limited eggs available due to low hatching rate of
eggs. Unpredicted time may constraits to eggs to hatched in normal condition.
The purposes of this research is to increase hatching rate of ra-inbow fish eggs
with use salinity. Further, higher hatching eggs may shorthen embrio-genesis
period. The research used was com-pletely randomized design with six
treatmen-ts are 0, 2, 4, 6; 8, and 10 ppt. Resul-ted showed optimum salinity
for egg to ha-tching is 4 ppt. Within this salinity rainbow fish eggs tend to
shorthen period of embri-ogenesis. Contrast, salinity not related to time of
eggs to hatched. Suggestion from this study salinity need to used for hatchery system
of rainbow fish in captivity.
