FUNGI at Eucalyptus urophylla S.T. Blake in LOG YARD (TPK) PT. TOBA PULP LESTRARI, Tbk. KABUPATEN TOBA SAMOSIR NORTH SUMATERA
Abstract: The accumulation of
logs in log yard (TPK) in a longtime cousing wood deterioration by wood
destroyer organism specialy from fungi. The objectives of this research were to
find out the types of fungi at E. urophylla wood in TPK PT. Toba Pulp Lestari,
Tbk in Sosor Ladang Village Toba Samosir Regency North Sumatera, and to find
out cause of incidence of fungi at E. urophylla wood heap. The research was
took wood samples which striken by fungi from TPK with lenght 20-25 cm and
diametre 15-30 cm and then isolated fungi from the samples. Identification the
isolate we’ve been 7 – 14 days to find out its types. The observation in two
ways, macroscospic observation in colonies diameter, colonies colours, and
colonies form; and microscopic observation in mycelium, spore or conidia,
conidia’s size, conidia’s colour, septate, and conidiofor. The research showen
that in E. urophylla wood have eight types of fungi, consist of Trichoderma
sp.1, Trichoderma sp.2, Trichoderma sp.3, Aspergillus sp., Acremonium sp.,
Mucor sp., Penicillium sp., and Rhizopus sp.
