KOMPOSISI LIMBAH PENEBANGAN DI AREL HPH PT. TELUK BINTUNI MINA AGRO KARYA
Abstract: The study aims to
investigate the composition of cutting waste and the percentage value of the
logging waste against the realization of log production, and the prospective
utilization of the existing cutting waste. The result of the study is expected
to become a reference for the forestry department to conduct supervision on the
validity of the annual work plan proposed by the investor of the cutting waste
utilization.The study is conducted in two groups of wood, Meranti wood and
Mixed species. A grouping is also made based on the tree diameter, with range
of diameter between 50-79 and 80 cm up. A three time replication is conducted
to each tree group, which make 24 tree samples. Data processing in analysis to
determine composition and percentage value of waste woods on realization of log
production was conducted by tabulation method.The study reveals that the
cutting waste, which can be utilized, is located at clear bole stem, above
clear bole stem and stumps with average percentage of 14.565% for single tree.
Reference value to estimate the potential of cutting waste which are based on
the realization of the log production, is 14.520% for Meranti and 14.610% for
Mixed species.
