PENGEMBANGAN USAHA MASYARAKAT DI DALAM KAWASAN HUTAN (STUDI KASUS MASYARAKAT DESA-DESA SEKITAR AREAL IUPHHK DI KABUPATEN MAMUJU, PROVINSI SULAWESI BARAT)
Abstract: The study was aimed
to identify the characteristics of the community surrounding the area of IUPHHK
to formulate the concept of community-based enterprises development in the
forest. The study was carried out in Tassokko Village of Karossa District, and
Tabolang Village of Topoyo District. Data were gathered by survey, interviews,
Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and documentary study. Then, the data were
analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results indicate that there were
acculturation process occurred in agricultural cultivation and forestry
knowledge between the natives and the newcomers regarding the management of
forest resources. The common problems of forest management covered economical,
social, and institutional problems. The concept of community development
enterprises consists of production system development, enterprise institutional
development, and supporting system development.
