ANALISIS TINGKAT KEYAKINAN GURU (TEACHERS’ BELIEF) DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA
Abstract: Teachers' belief, or
level of confidence as one of the four components of teacher competence
(personal competence) has a strategic role in the success of student learning,
especially for elementary school teachers. An elementary school teacher who has
a good level of confidence will have an impact on the mental attitude toward
the benefits of math for students, themselves, and everyday life, and belief in
her abilities in teaching mathematics. The study is a descriptive study, which
aims to describe the confidence level of primary school teachers in the
learning of mathematics in the city of Bandar Lampung. Through the answers to
the questionnaire sample 23 elementary school teachers obtained the results of
the study that the confidence level of primary school teachers in teaching
mathematics in Bandar Lampung quite enough; with details (1) semi-city
elementary school teacher at better than the city center and suburbs, (2)
central elementary school teachers better city than the suburbs, and (3)
private school teachers in mathematics learning is better than public school
teachers.
