Implementasi Kerjasama Sister City Studi Kasus Sister City Bandung – Braunschweig (Tahun 2000 – 2013)

Abstract: The international relation phenomenon of Sister City has developed rapidly not only  in  foreign  country  but  also  in  Indonesia.  This  research  has  goal  to  open knowledge about city relation by describing the background of Sister City and it corporation procedure. The focus of this research is Bandung motivation to work out a closer cooperative of Sister City with Braunschweig. This research uses  Complex  Interdependence  concept  which  has  been  revealed  by  Robert Keohane and Joseph Nye. This research is qualitative research by using primer and secondary file, the used technique is collecting file which is used by library observation  and  interview.  The  result  of  this  research  prove  that implementation  of  the  Sister  City  partnership  of  Bandung  (Indonesia)  with Braunschweig  (Germany)  is  motivated  by  the  existence  of  similar characteristics  and  common  interest,  so  it  makes  an  ideal  pattern  of cooperation  (sensitive  interdependence)  which  is  build  not  for  cover  or complete the lack of the city, but also for increase the city’s potential. This motivation is also creates a long-term patter and short positive impact for both city.  As  theory  of  Robert  Keohane  and  Joseph  Nye,  about  Complex Interdependence.
