Issues in Cognitive Rehabilitation
Abstract: The attempts to
restore impaired human thinking have been recorded through out the history;
from the natural techniques to the advance cognitive neuropsychology approach.
Nowadays, cognitive rehabilitation
efforts have been
developed to optimalize
brain functions after
brain trauma. However, there are
still many key issues that should be addressed in understanding the effectivity
of cognitive rehabilitation, such as: whether the complex cognitive process can
be improved by training and whether these methods used have a meaningful impact
on individual functioning. Moreover, confounding results of several cognitive
rehabilitation studies are also found. Thus this paper would confer some issues
about the effectivity of cognitive rehabilitation by discussion gained from a
review of evidence‐based research.
