PEMBATALAN PROGRAM PENEMPATAN STASIUN ANTI-MISIL BALISTIK AMERIKA SERIKAT DI POLANDIA DAN REPUBLIK CEKO
Abstract: In 2002, U.S.
President, George W. Bush plans US Placement Program for Anti-Ballistic Missile
Shield in Eastern Europe,
namely Poland and
the Czech Republic. Formal
negotiations in 2007
with Poland and
the Czech Republic, the
deal will put
missile interceptors in
Poland and a
long-range ballistic missile shield in the Czech Republic. In 2009
President Obama replace George W. Bush became President of the United States.
However, in September 2009 Obama canceled US Placement Program for
Anti-Ballistic Missile Shield in in
Poland and the
Czech Republic. Results
of research inicated
that the factors that
led Obama to cancel
a placement program
anti-ballistic missiles shield in
Poland and the
Czech Republic based
on the internal
and external factors. The
internal factor is the condition
of the U.S.
economy is suffering from the
crisis while the
external factors are the
U.S. and Russia
relation, a nuclear Iran
is not a
threat for the
time being, and
the doubts of
the Czech Republic on the plan.
