PERAN ASEAN MARITIME FORUM (AMF) DALAM KEAMANAN PERAIRAN DI ASIA TENGGARA
Abstract: The results showed
that the role of the ASEAN Maritime Forum (AMF) is a conference venue/seminar
for all members of ASEAN Member States (AMSS) to conduct dialogue on maritime
issues which give the concept of cooperation in the area of maritime waters to
reduce crime and provide solutions to the problems faced. The role of the AMF
(1) As a container or a forum for promoting dialogue to prevent or reduce the
intensity of the conflict for its members. And (2) As a means of negotiation
and generate mutual decision together. And the role of the ASEAN Maritime Forum
will provide useful results and ideas for tackling issues of maritime crime and
security in the waters of Southeast Asia. Also in the mechanisms of ASEAN
Maritime Forum to date, only a forum to facilitate dialogue on maritime issues.
