SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGICAL DIMENSIONS OF CONFLICT
ABSTRACT: Every conflict needs
to be resolved. However, doing such intervention requires acknowledgment to
many aspects of conflict. History of conflict is the first step to be taken in
order to compose effective resolution.
Through this first step then some aspects will be figured out namely
social perceptions of the conflicting groups, ethos of conflict, social
identity, dehumanization process, delegitimization and deindividuation. The
intervention available from social psychology, then addressing cognitive dissonance
through behavior modification
