Digital Evolution: From IT to ICET and From Web 1.0 to Web 4.0
Abstract: The era of digital
information has evolved from computer era to ICT era; from printed materials, analog
content (radio, fixed telephone, TV) to multimedia content. In this paper, the
Authormentioned, perhaps the first time in the world, the ICET acronym. ICET
stands for Information, Communication and Experience Technology. The Author
also suggests that ICET is the upcoming eraafter ICT. Experiencing is a natural
need of human besides getting information and communicating with each other. In
this paper, the Author also explained the development of digital information
fromWeb 1.0 to Web 3.0. The era of Web 1.0 is believed to be over and
currently, we are progressing from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0. The Author also suggests
that virtual reality will mark the ICET era and thus Web 4.0.
