Simulation Study of crystallization and mechanical stability of Particle Gels

Abstract: We report the Brownian Dynamics simulation of colloidal particles immersed in an ionic solution, varying the ionic concentration to alter the inverse Debye length. The inverse Debye length determines the aggregation and the onset of crystallization. The mechanical stability is studied by applying a step-strain into the structure at different stages to study the effect of aging. The step strain is varied to investigate the change in yield stress as the gel ages.
