CADANGAN KARBON DI WILAYAH PERKOTAAN TENGGARONG BERDASARKAN METODE KLASIFIKASI NDVI PADA CITRA SENTINEL 2-A
Abstract: The role of
vegetation for CO2 absorber becomes an important part in order to overcome
global warming. Carbon absorbed by plants is stored in the wood biomass form.
Therefore it is necessary to do research on carbon stocks in Tenggarong urban
areas. The study was conducted by classifying Sentinel 2-A satellite images
through the NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) vegetation index
which are combined with data collection of species, diameter and tree height
through samples plot in the field. The NDVI classification is conducted to find
out the distribution of vegetation in Tenggarong urban area. Biomass
calculations were performed on data at samples plot using an existing
allometric equation. The vegetated areas of Tenggarong urban areas according to
the NDVI classification of Sentinel 2-A satellite images are in class 4 and 5
with the extent in class 4 are 2.167,08 ha and the extent in class 5 are
1.243,30 ha. The average carbon in class 4 are 81,39 tons-C/ha which total
carbon are 176.372,45 ton-C and average carbon in class 5 are 90,32 tons-C/ha
which total carbon are 112.290,71 tons-C. The overall carbon in Tenggarong
urban area are 288.663.16 tons-C.
