Formulasi dan Uji Sifat Fisik Lulur Body Scrub Arang Aktif Dari Cangkang Sawit ( Elaeis Guineensis Jacg) Sebagai Detoksifikasi
ABSTRACT: Palm shells ( Elaeis
guineensis Jacg) can be processed into activated charcoal that is useful for
detoxification or removing unnecessary toxin. This research was conducted to formulate
the activated charcoal body scrub of palm shells with concentration 15 % and 30
% , determine the best physical properties of activated charcoal body scrub and
observe the ability of activated charcoal body scrub to absorb toxin. The
activated charcoal of palm shells were formulated become cosmetics preparation,
body scrub and then the physical properties were tested including observation
of organoleptic propeties, pH, creaming volume, dispersion drop size and
inversion phase using accelareted storage methode. The result of this research
shoewed that there was no changes in organoleptic properties, creaming volume,
inversion phase and dispersion drop size on both body scrub formlas and it had
the ability to absorb toxins. Based on the result, the formula of activated
charcoal of palm shells with concentration 15 % (Formula 1) showed better
properties than the formula of activated charcoal palm shells with
concentration 30 % (Formula 2).
