PENGARUH PEMBERIAN ALFA MANGOSTIN TERHADAP KADAR HIDROKSIPROLIN PADA HARI KE - 10 SESUDAH LUKA PADA TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN
Abstract: A study on the
effect of alpha mangostin on hydroxyproline levels on the 10 th day after
injury was performed on male white rats. Samples used of purified alpha
mangostin powder from the Laboratory of Biota of Sumatra (LBS) Andalas
University. Alpha mangostin has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial activity. The
standard used is hydroxyproline, which is used as an index to replace the
collagen level parameters in the skin. The higher the content of hydroxyproline
is indicated by the increase of collagen in the wound healing process.
Determination of hydroxyproline level using spectrofotometer Uv-Vis method. The
maximum wavelength of hydroxyproline with a concentration of 4.5 μg/mL is 559
nm. This study used experimental animals 2 groups. Group I control 3 tail
(smeared Na CMC 1%) and group II treatment 3 tail (smeared alpha mangostin
suspension 1%). The parameters observed were measurement of hydroxyproline
level in scar tissue of scar tissue. Treatment was carried out for 10 days. Percentage
of hydroxyproline control group 0,191% and treatment 1,446%. The highest
hydroxyproline levels in the treatment group showed that alpha mangostin had an
effect of excision wound healing in mice that was significantly different based
on independent T-test (P <0.05)
