PENGARUH STRES KERJA TERHADAP KEPUASAN KERJA KARYAWAN DENGAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL SEBAGAI VARIABEL MODERATOR PADA PDAM SURYA SEMBADA KOTA SURABAYA
Abstract: The rapid
development of technology innovation and industrialization made the company
more competitive to face a high competition in the globalization . When someone
spent too much time in the field and a little time in the office, it will
caused a high work stress and can reduced job satisfaction in employee while
social support was able to suppress employee satisfaction. Researchers used
social support as a moderating variable. The purpose of this study was to
examine and analyze the effect of work stress on employee job satisfaction and
social support moderated job stress on employee job satisfaction at Surya
Sembada PDAM Surabaya. This research was a quantitative using 50 people as
sample. Measuring instrument used in this study were interviews, observation,
and questionnaires. Analysis of the data using Partial Least Square (PLS) with
the help of SmartPLS 3.0 and Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS)
software. This study used a Likert scale as the scale of measurement. The
results showed that work stress influence the employee job satisfaction and
social support did not moderate the effect of work stress on employee job
satisfaction.
