Uji Daya Hambat Ekstrak Etanol Daun Puding Hitam (Graptophylum pictum L. Giff) pada Pertumbuhan Bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa
ABSTRACT: One of the bacteria
that cause infections is Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The most common infection
treatment is administration of antibacterial. Pseudomonas aeruginosa resistant
to many antibacterial that will multiple if not in the selection of
antibacterial. One of the plants is a tradisional treatment as antibacterial is
Puding Hitam Leaves (Graptophyllum pictum (L) Griff). This study aims to
determine the inhibitory ethanol of extract Puding Hitam Leaves (Graptophyllum
pictum (L) Griff) on the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Inhibition test
performed by disc diffusion method with four variations dose that is 120 ug /
mL, 230 ug / mL, 470ug / mL and 940ug / mL. Chloramphenicol 0.3% as positive controls
and negative control is DMSO 10%. The results showed extract of Puding Hitam
Leaves is able to inhibit the growth of bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa with a
diameter inhibitory consecutively dose 120 ug/mL, 230 ug/mL, 470ug/mL and
940ug/mL that is 11.5 mm, 14.6 mm, 18.7 mm, 15.3 mm, 23.7 mm. OneWay ANOVA
statistical tests, showed each treatment has a significant difference (p
<0.05) except between extract 230 ug / mL and 940 ug / mL (p> 0.05).
